What does a Chiropractor do?
Chiropractors perform hands-on manipulation to the spinal cord and other alternative therapies. The idea is that proper alignment of the musculoskeletal structure of the body, especially the spine structure, will enable the body to repair itself without surgery or medication. Manipulation is used to restore functionality of tissue-restricted joints caused by a traumatic event, such as falling down or excessive stress, such as sitting without sufficient back support.
A chiropractor first takes a medical history, conducts a physical examination and may use laboratory tests or diagnostic imaging to decide if your back pain is suitable for treatment.
For muscles, joints, bones, and connective tissue including cartilage, ligaments, and tendons, chiropractic treatment is commonly used as an alternative pain reliever. This is also used in tandem with traditional medical care.
A chiropractor's job is to test to see if the spine is in balance and whether there is any nerve damage that will cause you to feel pain or hinder the function of your body. We sometimes refer to this as spinal hygiene. Much because you need to go to a dentist to brush your teeth, we believe everybody needs a chiropractor to keep their spine safe.
Spinal stimulation and chiropractic treatment are commonly referred to as effective, efficient treatments for acute low back pain, the kind of sudden injury that occurs from lifting or tackling furniture. Acute back pain, more common than chronic pain, lasts for longer than six weeks and typically improves on its own.
Chiropractic care has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of neck pain and headaches. In addition, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia can respond to the mild pressure used by both chiropractors and practitioners of deep-tissue massage.

They are saving my life one visit at a time.
Intero and this amazing team has literally saved my life and my six-month-old. My spine was tilted along with hips and after a year of care I am moving great and my sciatic pain through pregnancy was lifted! My gassy newborn was also cured of the bubbles because of a few very small adjustments!

I highly recommend Intero Chiropractic. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The Gonstead method has made a significant difference in relieving the pain in my lower back.
Came in for shoulder pain from an old rotator cuff injury. The theory that the body can heal itself if everything is in alignment seems to be working. Have been coming here for 3 months and my shoulder pain is 60 to 70 percent less.
