The Number One Barrier Preventing You From Reaching Health Restoration

“Take two ibuprofen every 4-6 hours and apply heat and that should take care of it.” Does this sound familiar at all? Yeah, I thought so.

If you’re like most Americans, you’ve likely been told something along these lines as you went in to see your general physician at some point in your life.  Usually followed by you saying to yourself, “thank goodness my doctor knows what to do to fix this,” and, “thankfully it isn’t anything worse.”
This thought is exactly what is keeping you from reaching your true health potential.  We have been indoctrinated in the idea that health comes from outside the body, and that it is the doctor’s job to restore your health.  This is where doctors, all doctors, have failed their patients.  The number one thing preventing you from restoring your health is not taking responsibility for your own health in the first place.

To be a real doctor, of any health discipline, is to teach you how to be responsible for your own welfare within their own discipline.  When you become actively engaged in health promoting habits and doing things at home on a daily basis, you will be liberated from the suffocation of relying on a doctor to “give you” your health back.

At Intero Chiropractic, we recognize that your body is intelligent and is always striving for health.  We cannot possibly improve on the perfection that is the wisdom that created your body from just two cells.  That wisdom is, however, limited by the materials it has to work with (your structure), as your body is constantly being bombarded by chemical, physical and emotional stressors.  Our goal is to provide a practical solution where we can reach your health goals together which consists of you doing certain things on a daily basis so that you can be the true champion or your health.

Watch the video below to learn about what we implement in your care so that we can work toward Structural Restoration and an Optimized Nerve Supply.

How To Use A Cell Phone

1 out of 2 of you will be reading this on your phone…

How to use a Cell Phone:

We all have cell phones. Even my 3 year old nephew has a mobile device!

But has anyone ever thought about the best ways on how to use a cell phone? Because of this, I thought I’d make some simple steps to follow.

The chances of you reading this blog post on your cell phone is pretty high. In fact, research from Statista showed that about 52.2% of all website traffic across the world is viewed through a mobile device. Due to this, we have started seeing an increasing number of concerns regarding the spine…

If you’re reading this on a cell phone, consider your posture:

  • Is your cell phone in your lap or by your waistline?
  • Is your face looking down?
  • Are the muscles at the base of your neck and shoulders feeling tense?
How to use your cell phone

Due to that annoying neck pain, Dr. Robert shows you how to properly use a cell phone in order to find relief!

  • Option 1: Fist Under Elbow Method: Make a fist with one hand. Place it beneath the opposite elbow. Bring your cell phone toward your face, not the other way around.
  • Option 2: Dual Elbow Action: Place both elbows against the side of your ribs. Hold the mobile device with both hands. Bring the cellphone toward your face.
  • Option 3: Take A Break! Sometimes we just need to give technology a break. Go for a walk, get some exercise, have a great conversation with the person next to you.

These are simple ways to improve the health of your spine and reduce the tension in your neck. Try them out! If you still find that you are having lingering neck pain, consider scheduling an evaluation.

Sometimes, chronic postural stress can lead to damage of the spine and irritation of the nerves. Neurological and structural chiropractic care can reduce pain and correct the function of the spine.
